Instead of our usual Fall black tie dinner, this year we decided to have a lunch in a castle.  It was at Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, on Saturday, November 24th

After a satisfying lunch, Jerry Pash, a retired immigration judge, begins his talk on the Symbols of Canada.

As a surprising finale, the judge starts to swear us all in as Canadian citizens!  Wow!  Actually, if the truth were to be told, it was a citizenship re-affirmation ceremony.

The next three photos show Steve presenting to Judge Pash a plaque depicting the badge as worn by immigration judges.

After the plaque presentation, a line quickly forms to have photos taken with the judge.  Here we have two happy "new" Canadians displaying their certificates.
