Again like last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 2022 Annual General Meeting was held through the teleconferencing services of Zoom, on March 12th, starting at 1 pm.
It was a robust scene as people were joining and leaving throughout the meeting. In total, 26 people logged in, comprised of members, guests, and even one of our patrons, Her Honour, Angélique Bernard, the commissioner of the Yukon. The number of people on-line at any one time maxed out at 23.
Branch president Steve Cowan opened the meeting and gave his annual report, summarizing the branch's activities for 2021 and giving a heads-up as to what is coming up for the rest of 2022.
This was followed by Brian Hutchison giving the treasurer's report, detailing the major items of revenue and expenses and how the funds are divied up in various accounts.
Next, Gary Mitchell took over to conduct the selection of the board for the coming year. Since there was only one nomination for each position, all positions were filled by acclamation. The new board is shown below:

After the lecture, Charles e-received an armorial plaque from Steve in appreciation for his presentation. (The plaque was later mailed out to him.)
